Alabama trip coming up...
We're planning a trip to Alabama in early June. Probably something like the 6th-16th. If you're in the Heart of Dixie we'd like to see you!!! Also, if you know of churches we should be talking to, let us know!

soft brushes
Seth just finished reading
Instruments in the Redeemer's Hands by Paul Tripp. Here's a good quote from it:
"God is painting his grace on the canvas of human souls. One day we will stand with Him in glory and see that canvas completed, and we won't be able to do anthing but worship. What is our part in all of this? We are God's brushes. He wants to soak us on the palette of His grace and paint more of His goodness on yet another soul. The question is, 'Are we soft brushes in His hands?' A hard, dried-out brush doesn't pick up the paint well and mars the surface it was meant to beautify"
vivid, isn't it? God make us soft brushes!

Daniel, Easter, and St. Patrick
First, I have to tell you the five new things from Daniel:
1) He's got two new teeth (that's four total now)
2) He's playing peek-a-boo with no help from us
3) He's imitating a new clicking kind of sound
4) He's sleeping ten hours in a row... regularly!
5) He's crawling!!! Not far, yet, but forward motion is happening!
Easter was wonderful here! Check out our pictures for more on that!
Our St. Patrick Party on Saturday went really well! Thanks to everyone who came and extra-big-thanks to those who helped make it wonderful! Here's a couple of snapshots I just have to show you:

yeah, we had a good time :)
If you didn't get to come to the party, but you'd still like to find out more about what we'll be doing in Ireland and how you can be part of it, just shoot us an email at

Jessica: Older. Irish Economy: Slower
Jessica had a birthday yesterday and she may be old
er, but she's got a looong way to go before qualifying as "old". We had a great day celebrating her - Daniel and Seth are both
very thankful that God made Jessica!
In other news, Ireland's economy seems to be taking a hard hit in the global slowdown. See Business Week's report here:

Movie Re-Do
After discovering that I had a fact wrong in the Vision: Ireland movie, I have re-worked it slightly to be more accurate. It won't look or sound much different, but at least it's all true as far as I know!

St. Patrick's Party!
If you're anywhere near Daleville, VA on March 22nd you need to be at the
Daleville Baptist Church fellowship hall for our St. Paddy's Day Party!! Why?
1) because we'll have real Irish tea (and biscuits)
2) because there will be fun games and prizes (not to mention friends)
3) because it's good to celebrate God's work through people like Patrick
4) because God is still working in Ireland now, and that's good to celebrate, too!
5) because you'll learn how you can be involved in what God is doing in Ireland through our ministry there and in other ways, too!
The party will be from 2:00-5:30pm and it's a drop-in-whenever-stay-as-long-as-you-like kind of thing. Bring your friends!
For more information, call us at 540-598-7064, email at
seth.lewis@crossworld.org or facebook us or just holler real loud and maybe we'll hear you.
See you there!

Surprize and Visit
The surprize came Saturday morning when we found out that Seth's parents were only an hour away in Wythville because of a last minute change in their travel plans. Jessica had church commitments, but Seth and Daniel got to go and eat breakfast with them and five international students who were traveling with them (Seth's folks are very involved with international student ministry).
A different kind of visit: Last night we presented our ministry at Faith Alliance Church's evening service and had a good response! Thank you to all the folks there!
And I (Seth) have to say that my wife Jessica is the best ever. She and her brother Jeremy made a fancy-schmancy-five-course-taste-sensation of a dinner as a late birthday gift for me... wow...

Daniel: 8 months. Seth: 26 years.
Yesterday was a milestone for both of us! We had a wonderful day as a family with some extra-special goodies provided courtesy of Jessica. We took some pictures, too - check them out under the "pictures/media" tab.
We have also been encouraged lately as several churches have expressed interest in either supporting us or in having us come and present our ministry. Please pray that they will follow through and that God will use these opportunities for His glory!

Pretty Princesses
Last night we helped with an event at church that the youth group girls put on for the younger girls at church to help them know what to look for in a guy. It was something Jessica had been wanting to do for months, and it turned out spectacularly, praise the Lord! The youth guys were involved too - taking the girls on a "date" to "Dalevilleinos" (in our church's fellowship hall) and being good examples of how guys should treat girls. We are so proud of how the youth group really stepped up and worked hard to make this a great time for the younger girls! After dinner, the guys and girls went seperate directions for the night, but everyone stayed up late (or, early, to be exact) so we're paying for that now... with interest, I think.
There are more pictures under the pictures/media tab, but here's a couple to give you a taste:
