  Alabama Christmas
after a great Christmas day with Jessica's folks in VA, we headed down to AL to be with Seth's folks and had another Christmas over the weekend! Both our Christmas' were perfectly golden days and we are thanking the Lord for the gift of such wonderful families - and the gift of Himself!

  Merry Christmas!
we pray your celebration is full of the kind of love God gave us on the first Christmas! Our celebration today includes some time with Jessica's folks as well as Seth's aunt, uncle, cousins, grandparents and another uncle. Tomorrow we'll be with Jessica's family some more and then we'll drive to Alabama and have Christmas with Seth's folks over the weekend. Marry Christmas to you!

  Man day
one of Seth's buddies planned a "man day" in his honor on Saturday. All Seth knew beforehand was to clear his schedule for the day. It ended up being a full day, too - breakfast, paintball for hours, and a cookout to round it off. Seth is still sore from playing paintball, and he's got a couple of nice welts, but it was worth it! He learned something, too: he's too aggressive. Being on the cutting edge of the front lines can be dangerous. Go figure.

  Discovery
while he was sorting through some old things to get them ready to donate to Goodwill, Seth found $100 in a pocket he had forgotten about inside an old computer case! That's fun!

  New look
as you can see, the website has undergone a major renovation! The content is similar, but hopefully you'll find this version easier to use. Take a look around and let us know what you think!

  Time is flying!
we are wrapping presents for Christmas and packing boxes for moving at the same time. And it seems like that time is going by awfully fast! It's hard to believe that Christmas is right around the corner, then a visit to Alabama, a week to finish packing, and we're off to Ireland!

  Alabama after Christmas
video

we're coming to Alabama right after Christmas, and we'll be having an open house at Seth's folks house in Owens Cross Roads on Sunday, January 4th, from 12:30-2:30 (there will be food!). If you're in 'Bama, we'd love to see you there!!

in other news: we got a good report on the baby and we had a great time seeing the folks at Fincastle Baptist last night!

  Sunday
yesterday had plenty of variety. After a great service at church we went out to eat with Jessica's folks to celebrate her brother's birthday, and Daniel slept through the whole meal (which was great!). Then we went back to church to practice for a Christmas choir special, but we had to leave early because Jessica had a Girl's Night Out at our house. She has been doing these for years now with the girls from the youth group. They always have great food and good times, but more then that, they always make or do or plan something for others. Over the years they have done some really neat and elaborate projects, so last night was a chance to remember those and relive a few of their favorites. And the best news of all is that it looks like Girl's Night Out may continue after we're gone!

  random news bits
Here's a few items of what's going on...

1) it looks like we may have a house to rent in Youghal! It's a nice place, and we've had a teammate check it out for us. Please pray that God would provide for us to be able to close the deal soon, or show us if He has somewhere else He'd like us to be. We'll keep you posted!

2) we're starting to pack boxes... crazy!

3) America's not the only place where some folks like to leave Christ out of Christmas. This story from the Irish Times shows the same trend in Ireland - against radio adds for Catholic bookstores!

  details, details...
it seems a bit overwhelming to think of all the little (and big) things that need to be done in the coming weeks. With Christmas coming as well, it's a little crazy! Thank you for your prayers for us!
